Origami - by Shell

i decided to expand my folded horizons and explore the watery world of crustations. first i folded a prawn...

then a giant water bug...

then, coming up to the surface, i tried the trickiest cleverest folds that i have ever encountered - the beetle. i started with thin cardboard that became thicker and thicker until i could fold no more. here he is, unfinished and unrecognisable after quite a few hours! some time soon i will try again with paper to start and hopefully, one day, meet the glorious beetle at the end.

I love all your folded creations Shell. Was beautiful folding with you. Never realised how intricate and complex some origami can be...the folds in your beetle were uber-tricky. It's inspiring to think so much can be done with a single piece of paper. Like that 'One piece of paper' guy...we'll definately have to challenge ourselves to that one day. I would love to try it!
