'Quote of the Moment'

There are so many inspiring words out there! This week I want us each to choose a quote that we find inspiring and create an artwork around it.

Quote of the moment - by Brook

Wow this took me ages, just doing a little at a time when I had the time. I had a few hiccups along the way but am happy with how it turned out. I coloured the background digitally and thought it looked cute.
I probably won't attempt one of these for a while though - Shell I don't know how you do it!

Quote of the moment - by Deb

I've not long since finished reading Salman Rushdie's controversial 'The Satanic Verses'. Splendid and wildly imaginative book. My quote comes from within its pages and accompanies a sketch inspired by its characters, Saladin Chamcha and Gibreel Farista, caught up in a tangle of 'god's' whims.

This idea started to form as soon as I read this quote. I love it. I had made lots of cut outs to give away and wanted one for our wall. So this is it. It's the biggest cutout I've made so far and soon will be on the wall above our dining table.
