Food glorious food! - by Shell

An Easter treat...mmm! Jamie Oliver's Chocolate Brownies!
In the spirit of Jamie's 'pass it on', give them a try. They're super delish...
250g unsalted butter
200g dark chocolate (look for Green and Blacks 70% cocoa)
150g dried sour cherries
150g blanched hazelnuts
80g cocoa powder
65g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
350g caster sugar
4 large free-range eggs
zest of 1 orange
250ml creme fraiche
Pre-heat your oven to 180'. Line a 12inch rectangular baking tray with greaseproof paper. In a large bowl over simmering water melt your chocolate and the butter and mix 'til smooth. Stir in the cherries and nuts. In another bowl mix the cocoa powder, flour, sugar, and baking powder. Mix this with the chocolate mixture. Beat the eggs and mix in until you have a silky consistency.
Pour the brownie mix into your tray and bake for about 25 min. You want them to be springy on the outside but gooey in the middle. Allow to cool in the tray then transfer to a large chopping board and cut into chunky squares. For a fantastic dessert serve with a dollop of creme fraiche mixed with the orange zest. Enjoy with friends or family.

You could be doing artworks for classy foodie mags my sista! The detail and the evolution of your watercolour technique are superb! I could almost eat it right of the page!! What a treat (both for the tastebuds and the mind). Thanks for sharing!
