thanks so much wolfy ^_^ cat is always with me, though i'm not sure who this is. it's more a future possibility rather than a past memory. i wanted to create an artwork that would say something inspiring to ellie. i also wanted it to be a bit ageless, so she could keep it on her wall for many years (hopefully, if she wants to!). when i first drew it i had the girl there on her own, but i thought that no one gets anywhere without a hand from someone else so i gave her a friend for the journey.
I'm delighted the stripey cat features again. I like your take on the topic, choosing to create a memento for someone special, rather than create a memento of memories past - i can see the desire to share happiness and creativity in this Shell, and thats part of what makes it so special. Silver like precious metal too, as if gifting a jewel or treasure.
