I got a phone call on Monday to say I'd won! Out of around 400 entrants. Needless to say I was rather excited! YAHOOOOO! :)
I just thought I'd let you all know I'm back from my hiatus and aim to contribute to SK on a regular basis. Realistically, it won't be every week, but I'll certainly try!
I'd like share with you what I have been doing lately on a creative level... I recently entered a competition to win a Correspondence Foundation Course at theThe International School of Colour and Design (ISCD). Basically, I was just inspired by it, as I would like to do more study and the course sounded interesting. Check out http://www.iscd.edu.au/default1.asp?showdetails=start
To enter I had to say in 25 words or less (not many, I know!) how I'd be inspired to us the course once I had completed it. It also said to be creative.
I hope you like it, I'm really happy with it, and I don't mind if I win or not, it was just great to be inspired and creative again! They haven't come up all that well scanned, as they are collages, but you get the idea...
I have really enjoyed looking at what you have all been doing, we've had some great topics and it seems that everyone is really growing artistically - I lovely bi-product of our little blog.
So enjoy my creative adventure!

cool huh girls? and the originals look awesome - you can't really see the depth of colour and the different textures in the scanned copies... i think she should win for sure!
very cool brook! thanks for sharing your inspiration with us. i really appreciated your designs. i loved the colours and especially the patterns that you combined. i never would have thought to combine those patterns together, but they work beautifully. they sure would be stylish rooms to lounge in ^_^

I'm starting the course soon, just got my course materials and outline. Karl's mum is in town again and we're off to Cairns for a week so once life returns to normal I'll hop to it. Very excited.
