Summer of my childhood - by Shell

When I was really little Mum and Dad asked their friend Jo to give Wolfy and I art lessons. I vividly remember making recycled paper in one lesson. It was such fun. We put confetti into the mix so that our paper would have beautifully coloured spots. Little Debski was a bubba then. For all summers after Deb, Wolfy, and I loved creating artworks together - and of course still do today.

i love the wateriness of the paper-making and the way that is reflected in the rest of the picture, all so fluid. Uber-cute that litte-shell is looking at the pink bear, as if in conversation with an imaginary friend. I was too young to remember jo, but i definately remember your love for making recycled paper as a big-kid, and once, blending up toilet paper to add to the mix, to make the paper softer!

i remember that! and remember when we coloured our paper with red dirt and scattered seeds on it, so that people could plant the paper after reading the letters?
